Just out and about

I should have been in the Outer Hebrides this week, but life and weather conspired against me.  So instead of being grumpy around the house all week I decided to get myself out and about make the best of it and get in a few days away.
I'm not going to write these up, so this will just be a few words and a lot of pictures.
As a side note, on Saturday I received a package from Adventure Bike Warehouse containing a pair of Moto Skiveez.  Basically they are a pair of seamless & padded underpants for motorcyclists.  So I planned a longish run for Monday.

Monday saw me heading up the dreaded A9, I know but I wanted to see what it is like with the faster truck speed limit and speed cameras.  It was, as expected, murder.  The whole road moves along at 50 mph, the new truck speed limit, all the cars are scared to pass as the the drivers a shitting themselves to get caught speeding.  Leaving the A9 at Dalwhinnie I headed for Laggan and then down to Spean Bridge.  From Spean Bridge I headed south to Fort William and then picked up the road for Mallaig.  After a quick stop and wander around I headed back to Fort William for dinner and then back to Linlithgow through Glen Coe, down the side of Loch Lomond and into Stirling.
370 miles today and I can report that the Moto Skiveez work remarkably well!  They easily extend my stints on the bike by about 50%.

Tuesday, I was off to St Mary's Loch and the three lochs loop.  I have never been down here before as I have always been a Highlands and west coast kind of guy.  How miss-guided have I been it absolutely stunning down there, along with some challenging riding roads...  I'll be back.
170 miles today

Wednesday was an old favourite.  Up through Perth past Glenshee and onto Braemar, down along the Dee and over the Cairn O' Mount road.  I was going to to over to Arbroath and back down the east coast but the rain came on at Edzell and it was looking like it was going to stay on all day.  So I picked up the A90 to Dundee, over the Tay bridge to Kinross and over the Forth bridge and home.
275 miles today.
